After new hunting leases are released, members will have the ability to place deposits on properties. All new hunting leases are first come first serve per membership level. Once a deposit is placed, the property will be held for 7 days for you to make payment in full to secure that hunting lease.

STEPS OF GETTING A HUNTING LEASE
VIEW THE TIMELINE BELOW TO LEARN HOW TO LEASE A PROPERTY

1. BECOME A MEMBER

Choose the membership level that is right for you. Members will be given access to new leases depending on the level they choose.

2. ACCESS TO NEW LEASES

Login to your account online before or at the time of new leases being released. When logged in navigate to the new leases section in your account and wait for new properties to be released.

3. HOLDING A LEASE

If you then find a lease you are considering, you can place a deposit to hold that property for seven days. 75% of quality leases have a deposit placed on them within the first few minutes of release time.

4. INSPECT THE PROPERTY

Personally inspect the property so you can then decide if the lease is right for you. You do not have to inspect the property but we strongly encourge members to do so.

5. SECURE YOUR HUNTING LEASE

Pay for the hunting lease in full before or on the seventh day of your deposit hold to secure your hunting lease for a full year.

FAQs

We don’t maintain a waiting list of interested hunters for a particular property; we simply notify our members when that property becomes available via the Wall Hanger, 8 Point, Fork Horn and Free Member e-newsletters.

Once you have a premium membership, login and then click on “driving directions/permission” under the property you wish to visit. A popup with driving directions and the permission slip to inspect will appear, and an email will be sent to you with the same information.

If someone needs to be notified prior to inspection, it will be noted. Otherwise, this is all you need to make a personal inspection. Print it, along with a copy of the aerial photo, and take it along with you to help distinguish the boundaries. Permission to inspect is good for one week.

You must register to be a member of our website. Then, you will receive newsletters up to 3 times per week with available properties. All newsletters are sent out at 8pm eastern time. The days you will receive newsletters varies based on what level of membership you purchase.

No, all available leases must go out to the membership levels through our newsletters and the website. Agents do not give anyone a “Heads Up” on any new leases coming out. Once a lease shows available to your membership level you are welcome to contact the Agent with any questions.

Yes, in order to request driving directions, place a deposit and lease a property you must first purchase one of our 3 paid membership levels.

Trespassing is up to the hunters of the property to handle. The first step that should be taken is posting the entire property boundary. Once this is done and issues still arise, the best thing to do is contact the local conservation officer and get law enforcement involved. The majority of leases through Base Camp Leasing give the authority to press charges for trespassing to the licensee of the lease.

No, we don’t currently offer the ability to narrow down notifications by geographical area. The newsletter will display new leases for all states and counties.

No, agents will not accompany you during the inspection of a property. If you have questions, feel free to reach out to the leasing agent for the property. They will be happy to answer any questions you have.

That is the total number of people allowed on the lease, regardless of age and whether or not they are hunting. All must be listed on the lease agreement. If it is a 6-person lease, then 6 individuals can be on the property. Not 5 guys this week and then 4 different guys next week. If they aren’t listed, they are trespassers and not covered by the liability insurance.

This management technique is mainly to maintain game populations and ensure that these properties are quality hunting opportunities for years to come. Our landowners contract with us because we give them control of who enters their property instead of countless club members that don’t become familiar with the property. More hunting pressure = less success. We want our lessees to come back.
