As a Midwest native, Mark Rohlfing grew up hunting upland birds on his grandparent’s farm near Wisner, NE. While attending high school in Minnesota, big game hunting opportunities caught Mark’s attention. It was then he began bow-hunting whitetails and has not looked back.
Mark currently resides with his wife Ann and daughter Hannah in Tyndall, SD. He obtained a M.S degree in 2004 from South Dakota State University studying Wildlife Management. Mark currently works for the Natural Resources Conservation Service helping landowners develop conservation plans. This often involves studying aerial photos and utilizing cost-share programs to establish wildlife habitat.
“In my spare time I truly enjoy scouting new properties. Don’t kid yourself, it’s all about location. Consistent success comes from controlling hunting pressure and that is what a lease can do for you. Hunters who utilize Base Camp Leasing know they will have an undisturbed place to hunt for years to come. Nebraska is a great place to obtain a lease because non-resident tags are readily available”, says Mark.
Mark will inspect properties as if he were going to hunt them himself. He will prepare aerial photos, take pictures of game sign, and recommend potential stand or blind sites if desired. Mark looks forward to helping hunters obtain a great hunting spot. Please contact Mark to answer questions you may have about leasing one of our Nebraska properties.
